Anthropolitan and The Creative Collective are looking to expand its Student Editorial Committee for the year 2026. Part of this expansion involves shaping the collaboration between Anthropolitan and The Creative Collective into something new, exciting and student-driven!
What is Anthropolitan?
Anthropolitan is UCL Anthropology’s student publication where we showcase articles, stories, poems, reviews and interviews by anthropology students in blog and print magazine formats. We also feature multimodal content (photographs, artwork, films, podcasts, videos and more) through our social media channels Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
What is The Creative Collective?
The Creative Collective is a student-led publication in the Department of Anthropology celebrating works that fall beyond the scope of traditional academic essay writing such as poetry, photo essays, short films, song lyrics, drawings, and so on. We invite students to share pieces that are unconventional, experimental, non-standardised or minoritised, particularly on issues surrounding equality, diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism.
Student Editorial Committee Open Posts (G5, point 16):
Salary: £16.76 including London Allowance
- Student Editor for Anthropolitan (blog)
- Student Editor for Anthropolitan (print magazine)
- Communications and Social Media (Anthropolitan and Creative Collective)
All posts will require approximately 8-10 hours of work throughout the academic year, and may involve some pressure points such as the publication period for the Anthropolitan magazine (around April to June) and other accompanying events.
We also aim to ensure that recruitment is spread across student cohorts (UG, PG and PGR) depending on applications.
